As Tomasz Grela, CEO and President of the Management Board at ALUPROF SA explains:

All of the developments evaluated in the competition are top of the tree in terms of innovativeness, design and the solutions used for them. The entries combine functionality and interesting aesthetics, and thanks to the use of green and low-emission products, they support the idea of sustainable construction, which is confirmed by the fact that almost fifty of the buildings that got through to stage two of this year’s competition are BREEM and LEED certified.

This year’s winning design features an aluminum and glass curtain wall which shimmers with the hues of spring. An unusual addition takes the form of a garden located on the roof, affording panoramic views of Warsaw. The facility’s muted, spacious interior is an invitation to join the community of scholarship at the University of Warsaw.

With the online voting, the greatest acclaim went to architect Tomasz Konior of Konior Studio for his design of the Press Glass company headquarters, winning him the title of Internet Users’ Accolade.

The second and third places went to Global Office Park A and Cavatina Hall, respectively. The architect was Piotr Jasiński Cavatina and Cavatina Holding was the developer of both buildings.

The event partners were Press Glass, IGP, ML System and GEZE.
