The Nobu Hotel in Warsaw. Featuring Aluprof systems!

Construction of the extension to the Hotel Rialto, which is part of the Nobu Hospitality brand, is complete. Polish collaborative studio Medusa Group is responsible for the design of the new wing and part of the interior. The building features state-of-the-art aluminium systems by ALUPROF SA.

The Nobu brand is more than a synonym for luxury and elegant design. It is also the worldwide renown which the owners, Robert De Niro, Nobu Matsuhisa and Meir Teper have built for it over the years. Today, the chain is operating dynamically in forty locations on five continents, serving three million guests annually. Seventeen of those locations are part of the hotel sector. The new site at No. 73 ulica Wilcza, Warsaw, is Nobu’s first branch in central-eastern Europe.

Located at the heart of city’s business and entertainment district, the five-star hotel boasts one hundred and twenty exclusive rooms, conference spaces, a fitness zone and a restaurant offering superb Asian cuisine. The first lifestyle hotel on the Polish market, it can be proud of its original and noteworthy design. The archictects’ decisions include curved aluminium and glass structures, diagonally linked partitions and decorative window bars which are attached to the glazing and enhance the aesthetic qualities of the elevation. The solutions were provided by aluminium systems manufacturer, ALUPROF SA.

As Bożena Ryszka, Marketing and PR Director for ALUPROF, explains:

Such a prestigious undertaking demands the use of solutions that are innovative, flexible and not only correspond to the requirements of the developer, architects and designers, but also ensure the end users’ safety and comfort. The ALUPROF MB-Skyline, which is our newest proposition, was used for the first time in the Nobu Hotel. The system’s sliding doors with invisible frames are a perfect fit with the prevailing trend for large panes of glass and subtle profiles. What’s more, they are designed to be used in single-family homes, as well. The building also features a number of ALUPROF aluminium door, window, façade and fire-rated systems equipped with a wide array of functions. Among them are solutions from our MB-86 SI range, which is characterised by high resistance, even in large-scale window structures. Our MB-SR50N OW Lift & Slide window system not only provides excellent acoustic parameters, but also facilitates effective ventilation and drainage, which extends the problem-free use of the windows. It’s also worth noting the ALUPROF MB-SR50N Efekt mullion and transom curtain wall system. The design featured a minimalist façade with bowed profiles, narrow dividing lines and elegant curves. And that design was made real by our system.

ALUPROF also emphasises the impact the materials used have on the safety of the building itself, including the creation of the appropriate emergency exit routes. The fire-rated systems provided by the company also feature in various elements of the interior structures, including the organisation of the fire compartments.

The value of the development is estimated to be one hundred million zloty. The developer is Tacit Investment. The company operates on the premium property market and is the owner of developments such as the Cosmopolitan Twarda 4 and Park Lane apartment buildings and The Bridge Hotel Wrocław - MGallery.
