Mullion-to-transom connection in MB-SR50N façade with a load capacity of 5.5 kN per node side

Aluprof’s designers have developed an innovative mullion-to-transom connection for MB-SR50N façade with a high load-bearing capacity of 5.5 kN per node side. This makes it possible to achieve a maximum load per transom of 1,100 kg.

The results are excellent – the existing market solutions offer a maximum load capacity of 900 kg per node. Additionally, Aluprof’s construction allows for the transfer of loads with the simultaneous use of the internal chamber of the transom, which brings many benefits, i. a. the elimination of steel elements from the insulation area has provided the nodes of the facade with enhanced thermal insulation. What’s more, they are not part of the glazing cavity, which allows for smooth operation of the façade and greatly reduces the risk of glass cracking due to displacements of the structure.
The new solution from Aluprof is already on sale.
