FUTURE BUILDERS. LET’S TALK ABOUT THE FUTURE OF BUILDING!

In order to combat the effects of climate change, it is imperative for the construction industry to join the fight for a ‘better tomorrow’. The development of new technologies should be just as important as respect for the environment, for natural resources and for the impact buildings have on society. This is what makes the idea of sustainable corporate development so crucial.

ALUPROF SA, an international leader in the aluminium joinery sector, is continuing its profound commitment to this approach with the launch of a new initiative on 2nd September 2021. Future Builders will work to change the building of tomorrow through the conversations we have today, so that our generation and generations to come will live in a better world. This original undertaking is setting out to establish a public platform for substantive discussion on the worldwide future of architecture in the context of sustainable building. The Future Builders platform is a place where construction industry experts and engineers meet up with architects and designers who think outside the box and where urban planning theoreticians and sociologists can bring their visions face to face with the daily practices of the industry and the investors who employ them.

Future Builders will include a series of face to face encounters and interviews with towering Polish and international figures from the world of architecture. They will be held in a specially designed, online studio. For each of the events, Future Builders will bring together a remarkable audience of young students focused on the sector, experienced architect and designers, construction industry experts and anyone who loves architecture. The entire project will be crowned by the accompanying publication of an AluBook Album of Trends.

The opening day, 2nd September 2021, will be devoted to an encounter with world-famous architect Bohdan Zaha of Zaha Hadid Architects Ltd. The company’s portfolio includes a new airport building in Beijing and a futuristic shopping centre in Abu Dhabi.

Bożena Ryszka, Marketing and PR Director for ALUPROF, provides some more details:

New technologies, the latest research results and major trends are the main topics that our original, international initiative will address. Future Builders means that anyone who’s interested will be able to find knowledge, inspiration and the motivation to broaden their horizons. It’s a forum for people who are concerned for a better tomorrow. And, after all, we’re all responsible for that.

The patron of the Future Architects interview series is the Polish Chamber of Architects, which brings together all the representatives of that profession in our country. The events will be promoted extensively in the Polish and international sectoral, business and general media and on the Internet. The media sponsors include two of the most widely read architectural titles in Poland, “Architektura-Murator” and “Zawód: Architekt”.
